ANIMAYO RETURNS TO LOS ANGELES TO PRESENT

The Special Program "Women in Animation, Visual Effects & Video Games" and the Winners Animayo 2017!

Animayo returns to Los Angeles for the seventh consecutive year to present the Special Program "Women in the film industry of animation, video games and visual effects" and the Winners Animayo2017

Animayo has been the first festival in the world to dedicate entirely its programming to the figure of women in the industry; it did in its edition of Gran Canaria (Spain) and has been extending it to all its itinerants of this 2017 edition. With actions such as this, which have also been joined by other animation festivals in the world, Animayo is playing its part to reach a gender balance within the sector, so that women feel more comfortable and supported to achieve their goals. Unrestricted professional goals, ending the wage gap between men and women, unconscious prejudices and promoting the policy of equal opportunities within the film industry.

The 7th edition of Animayo Los Angeles will open with a Panel of Women's industry talents, highlighting women's role in the industry and their contribution to industry, highlighting women's particular artistic sensitivity, their way to understand the cinema, their values and their professional and creative talent.
