Application of the Assistance and Promotional Fund

EGEDA maintains a fund – a minimum of 20% of monies collected – for the purpose of providing assistance to member producers and to promote audiovisual production.

Some of the permanent activities are:

  • Courses and seminars sponsored by EGEDA
  • Promotion of film markets and film festivals, not only in Spain but in various countries in Europe and America, such as LALIFF, the Recent Spanish Cinema Series in Los Angeles, the Chicago Film Festival, the San Sebastian Films Festival, etc.
  • In-house promotional activities like the Jose Maria Forqué Film Award or the Luis Bunuel Film Award.
  • Compilation and publishing of the Panorama Audiovisual report in Spain.
  • Publication and promotion of written studies of interest for the sector, such as “The Legal System of Audiovisual Co-Production”.
