La piel que habito

Director: Pedro Almodóvar.
Cast: Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya, Marisa Paredes.

The latest film from Pedro Almodovar reunites him with star Antonio Banderas, who plays Dr. Robert Ledgard, a plastic surgeon inspired to develop an artificial skin after his wife burned to death. He perfects his discovery on a female patient (Elena Anaya) held captive at his estate - but neither the woman nor her motivations are quite what they seem. Described by Almodovar as “a horror story without screams or frights,” THE SKIN I LIVE IN crawls with the byzantine plot twists, perversity and dark humor for which its writer-director is justly famous.

In Spanish with English subtitles.
